Do you want the Advanced or Simple Mage Leveling Guide?

Hey guys, Daniel here I just want to share with you a great mage leveling guide, or actually a leveling spec that I used personally on my Frost Mage.  I was a beginner once too and I know how it feels to have many, many choices of different mages and different builds and specs as well.  So, I basically drilled it down to just one choice and that is the Frost Mage.  I will give you my reasons further into the post.  But let me warn you that this is just a SIMPLE and a summary of a mage leveling guide and if you are serious about taking your mage to level 85 quick status, then be sure to check out the ADVANCE mage leveling guide here: Click Here for Advanced Mage Leveling Guide.

Mage Leveling Guide for Talents and Cataclysm Update 4.1.0 and Up

Now, once you reach the critical level of 10, you basically make the choice that will last you the rest of your world of warcraft days.  Especially if your going to use a mage leveling guide.  You’ve got three choices here and they are: Frost, Arcane, Fire.  It is highly recommended not to mix up any of the specializations until you reach level 69 in which you will use 31 talent points.  After you spend it though, you can diverge into other specializations, but until then you are stuck with one.  I mean you can get into 31/5/5 or 31/10/0 but I would stay away from hybrid builds because just focusing on one seems to work the best for me and isn’t the easiest mage leveling guide.

You will also achieve the trainable skill of mastery which you get once you reach level 80.  Can do this easily with a mage leveling guide.  With the mastery rating will depend on what gear you would want for mage leveling guide and will also effect your critical rating.  Stacking crit or mastery can be a tough decision and it’ll be described in the advance mage leveling guide for time sake.  Also you buy the spell once and build it up as you level.

Reasons for Frost Mage Leveling Guide

So now I’ll give you a few reasons for why I believe the frost mage is the best choice, especially for those just starting out or want the best mage ever.  I’m just a little biased here =).

First of all, fire probably has the most damage and maybe the best DPS, but in terms of surviving or controlling you are out of luck here.  If you want to be a good PvP, you must have a good strategy and surviving plays a big role here.  Frost might have slight less damage, but survivability and also mana efficiency overrides fire mages any day.  So I like to use the frost mage leveling guide for any PvP purposes.  Although I have seen very good fire mages, you need some mad skills of control.

Second, arcane mages are very tricky.  Damage is okay and control is okay too.  It’s kinda like right in between fire and frost, with some lacking aspects of course.  Arcane isn’t the most popular and there is a reason for it.  It simply isn’t as good as fire or frost.  Frost on the other hand, contains all that is needed for World of Warcraft mastery.  Also can be the best for mage leveling guide.

Frost mage has damage, survivability as well as control.  It is also easiest with a mage leveling guide With these skills it is a very good overall mage and a good all purpose mage, along with raiding and PvP of course because that’s where the real fun is.

But whether you choose a Fire mage, an Arcane mage or a Frost Mage if you want a quick way to level 85 check out Zygor’s Guide which is up to date with the newest version of Cataclysm.  If you want a way to MULTIPLY your leveling rate by at least four then Click Here for Fastest way to Level 85!

Mage Leveling Guide – Mage Leveling Choices

Mage Leveling Guide Choices

When it comes to World of Warcraft, you are left with many, many, many choices to make in order for you to get good in this game.  You first choose a character, and a side, and what type of character you want to build, etc, etc.  There are literally thousands of possible ways in which a wow player can go about in building his/her character.

Therefore, in this post, I’m going to talk about a few choices on specific mage class and mage leveling guide.  I’m just going to go over some basic facts, so bear with me here.

What type of mage you want depends on what you want to do with your world of warcraft character.  Also, different kinds of mages calls for different mage leveling guide as well.  I think blood elf, tauran, and The race classes or Trolls and Orcs are going to be the best for raids with Draenei following behind.  For Person vs. Person, Human (escape) and the Orc class (stun resist & enrage) are probably the best, while undead and gnomes are generally pretty good as well.

Mage Leveling Guide Race Choices

Mage Leveling Guide – Horde

Honestly, in my opinion undead, troll and orc are best for mage leveling guide and both for PvE and PvP, but I’ll go over the other races as well.

Troll:
Berserking: This is probably the most useful for being a troll mage. You get a small speed increase and you get more speed, up to 30% more, as your hp goes down. But this small speed increase is REALLY useful in raids and in tight situations.
Voodoo shuffle: Good for PvP and that’s about it.

Undead:
Will of Forsaken: Very good PvP ability and this alone is worth a mage leveling guide for an undead mage. Even with the nerfs it is still a god-like skill.
Cannibalize: Great for when you are up against humanoids and good for when you need healing during battle.

Orc (Cataclysm):
Blood Fury: Is useful for the extra boost in power of attack and in spells for mages.

Goblin (Cataclysm):
Haste: The increase in haste is useful for an all around mage and just any character as well.
Increase damage to spells: Of course this is good.
Alchemy skill: An increase to this skill can be beneficial.

Blood Elf:
If you want something pretty, then this would be your choice.
Enchanting skill is useful for teammates and chanters I guess. They look a lot better than other horde mages lol. Don’t know if that’ll help you though.

In the end, I would go for the undead mage in Horde, but the choice is totally up to you. I think undead is best for mage leveling guide and for developing a good pvp mage as well.

Mage Leveling Guide – Alliance

For Alliance, the best mage leveling guide and best overall mage for me would be human, gnomes or draenei. With the alliance class and with a mage, its pretty much hard to go wrong with any race. So if you just want to go with the looks of a mage in alliance, then the choice is all yours, because you basically can’t go wrong here. So I’ll just cover a few of the ones I think are best.

Gnome:
Escape Artist: Good for small size and also good skill for PvP. But unlike humans, they seperate the cooldown time from the person vs person trinket.
Increased Mana Pool: Obviously good for a mage leveling guide and it increases resources for any caster.
Engineering: A profession that can help make some nice stuff.

Human:
Has received many buffs with the expansions.
Awesome for PvP and good for mage leveling guide. They include stealth detection as well as abilities to escape.
Human’s increased spirit is pretty much worthless now.

Draenei:
Draenei’s are basically like the gnome race with the benefits that it provides.
Get a slight minor heal, which is better than nothing. This is much more helpful in PvE than PvP I believe.
Also has a +1% hit chance with spells, but it is self-only. Good for PvP.

Worgen (Cataclysm):
Can move quickly on occasion. This is good for a mage as well as for any other character.
Critical chance has been increased, but doesn’t really help being a mage.

Night Elf (Cataclysm):
Shadowmeld: Coming out of hiding and nuking your enemy is definitely good when you are PvPing. However, I don’t know if it is very useful in raiding or PvE or any other mage leveling guide use.
Moving faster when in stealth mode is a good benefit if you roll with a lot or Rogues that is.

So what race is best  for a good  mage leveling guide? As for the Alliance race, I believe humans, gnomes, or draenei would make the best mages. These three races are probably the best and you should definitely consider them over the others. The choice is up to you of course, and if you just want a mage that looks good you can also make a dwarf mage if you desire.

Mage Leveling Guide Recommendation

One thing about a mage is that sometimes it can get hard especially if you are trying to leveling up your character quickly. I had this experience, and I really hated taking forever leveling up while everyone else was blasting up there levels in just a few days. But luckily for me I found a great mage leveling guide that took my game up to another level. It’s called the Zygor Guide and not only does it include mage leveling guides, but also tons of different addons, tips, tricks and what not. It is EXTREMELY useful and I know that you can use it as a mage leveling guide or whatever you want to use it for to help you in becoming a master of world of warcraft.
